Oh ho! You sir, are a wit! No, I am not opposed to people in theory. Just when they stop me enjoying my games.

As a matter of fact, I'm in the process of spending $1200 on a major upgrade. New case (Cooler Master Mystique), new PSU (650W), new motherboard (ASUS), new CPU (Intel Core 2 Duo), new memory (2 GB, to be upgraded to 4 GB when funds allow), new video card (NVIDIA GeForce 7900GT with hopes for a second card via SLI, again when funds allow), and new sound card (Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty). Nice, huh?

That's $1608.60 in AUD.
That's 2.5 times as much as I payed for my Xbox360 and 2 times as much as I payed for my Xbox360, home theatre, VGA Cable and 21" crt monitor alltogether (and these are at ripoff Australian prices, too).
That's 2 times the PS3's US price, 4.8 times the Nintendo Wii's US price, and about 40 times how much money I have on me.
And computers are a ripoff here as well . I have to fund WMD development, enslave peasants and bring about the complete and total annihilation of good with this $40.

Porn, while a valid use of computing technology, certainly does not place great demand on system resources. I was in fact referring to my music making and video editing skills.

I guess it might be that kind of 70's funk music maybe. No idea.
EDIT: Wow, RV, you posted that at exactly the same time as me.

Likewise you posted about 700 times in 3 seconds.
I guess you can do that with such an in-depth knowledge of quantum physics and porn music.

Some Saxophone and some "Sexophone"....erm, groans and "ooh"s. Perhaps an electric piano too.
I just had a great idea! Unfortunately, it involves me doing stuff in WaveLab and FLStudio so I can't be arsed. I'll just do it all in WaveLab....I might get back to you soon.... (even if it will be completely OT. The thought alone made me laugh aloud so I must do it )

Yeah. I'm slowly "updating" to version 6. Sytrus 2 is awesome and I've been playing around with Wasp XT, which is just as good (certainly much better than Wasp).
I've fiddled with Reason but it's too detailed for me to do anything quickly on it at the moment. I'll be taught how to use it in a year's time at Uni (would have been this year but I took a year out). My friend, who is a DJ and producer, used to use FLStudio but now he swears by Reason and recommended it to me (although he understands my reasons for not using it).
That idea I had involved a load of Metallica sound clips and perhaps some longer instrumental selections from their songs but I can't be arsed to do it at the moment. I'm currently 32/40 hours through my working week and am really tired so I might give it a shot over the weekend (unless my 40 hour week turns to 48....).

Hehe, sounds good to me. I may check out Reason now that you've mentioned it and your formerly-FL-using friend now swears by it.
