Best Synth Corporation?

The forum looked a bit drab today (that's the sort of thing that Murray would say) and I was thinking about doing this. Then the thought spontaneously manifested itself into my hands and I am typing it now.

EMS for the accessibility and design ethic. Roland and Yamaha in particular made *far* more technically advanced synths, but the poll is the best synth *company* so I picked EMS.

I picked sequential circuits because they started out in a garage, and the next year made the best selling synth of the year. Ha.

Difficult poll. I have a soft spot for Roland, because Dom used a Roland Juno-6 for his theme and music during Trial of a Time Lord, and so I bought one myself and I love it tremendously. Looking at it objectively, it really is quite hard to choose... But I'll go with Roland.

Yamaha is a close runner-up though.

I quite like Roland too (actually, it is my favourite and it is the best)....but Moog is legendary.

He just kept talking in one long incredibly unbroken sentence moving from topic to topic so that no one had a chance to interrupt him it was really quite hypnotic.

*Officially the most likeable person since the last one*

Just say Apple.

Regardless of whether or not they make synths.

No need to bring Apple into this thread...

However Apple does indeed make synths of the software variety. Some pretty nice ones, actually, too. They're included with GarageBand and Logic. (Actually I understand Murray Gold relies entirely upon Apple's built-in Logic synths for all the electronic stuff he does for Doctor Who.)
