The Wii was a great idea ruined in its execution. I thought it would be great until I played one extensively.
Even the menus with their infomercial jingles and bleeps are enough to make RV want to violently kill toddlers more than he already does.
When Microsoft's interface design department kicks the shit out of yours you know you have problems.
EDIT: RV does, however, want a DS. Which is different to DS.

Mario Kart Wii and Super Smash Bros Brawl are getting me back onto the Wii.
But no matter how hard I try I always give in to the temptation of playing CoD4 on HD 32" screen. BEAUTIFUL!

I've had a DS for ages now, but never used it all that much.
Then I figured out the homebrew/custom stuff and now I have a flashcart, with a 1gig microSD in it, that I'm using in my DS. I have any chat client I want, web browsing, etc.. can watch movies, play mp3's, play any game I want..
It's pretty much just brought the thing to life and then some, not to mention all the crazy shit the homebrew communities keep cooking up for it. Frigging insane.
I mean seriously. You can almost emulate any older handheld, or gaming system on it, play all THEIR games on it.. um, even all those old Lucasarts/etc adventure games.. if you want it to do something, it's probably already been coded.
Plus real time save and a bunch of other features now built into the chip you use is a godsend.

PS3 Pricetag = FAIL
PS3 Concept = WIN
PS3 Games = UBER
But I don't have one becuase of the price. However, the laws of physics require me to own one to play MGS4. So I just wait until they show up on ebay for £90.

PS3 does rock. I'm addicted to CoD4. Mind you it is on XBOX!
But XBOX you have to pay if you want to go online :0

Yeah, but you pay less then if you were playing an MMORPG like WoW.
I have an Xbox360 myself, mainly because although I have a dislike foMicrosoft the 360 was still for the best console for me on the market, but it's really down to what the consumer wants, and this is the most balanced generation of consoles yet.

Seriously.
I'd love a PS3, the games are amazing.. they have like, FIVE Bleach games on it so far that I hear are bad ass.
The DS only has one.. well, three, but two are still in Japan and not released/translated yet.
But the DS Home brew scene trumps the PS3's by leaps and bounds, so that's keeping me busy. You can emulate any older gaming system on your DS, use it for web stuff, play homeb rew games, use homebrew apps including synths, trackers.. the lists just go on and on.
