2012: The end of the internet?

I found this rather scary article/video earlier.

This claimed that ISPs will start offering internet access like TV packages, offering only some websites. The more you visit the more you'd have to pay.

I was pretty shocked at first but then I realized that no sources were posted. I found a link to Telus, one of the service providers mentioned, showing their supposed plan for this, but as it turns out that's for internet access via their phones. They're not a regular ISP at all.
On top of that, this seems like a pretty retarded idea. We're already paying regular fees for our internet access anyway, I seriously doubt any ISP is stupid enough to go through with this. This would definitely crash the internet as a whole and they would definitely make less money in the long term.

So this seems pretty fishy. I'll be looking out for any more news on this. At first I thought it was real but now I'm thinking it's an attention-grabbing device.

Thoughts?

Oh god, it's from Athenes crew.

For those that don't know, 'Athene' is this person from World of Warcraft who gained interwebs fame by making a whole bunch of crazy videos. Then he made a website, got more money and made all sorts of other videos. The people in that clip are his girlfriend and other friends.

It's a big joke, don't take anything they say as serious.

Not to mention the idea itself is stupid, if anyone ever tried a move like that people would revolt and make their own internet.. hell, a lot of mainstream sites would revolt I bet.
