Right, I've had enough, I'm not trying to fight back, I'm sorry to hear that you are on edge all the time, but you're not the only one. I have some serious family issues and sometimes I do pretty random things and use humor as a defense mechanisim to try and put a wall up so people can't see my true emotions and feelings, and I am sick and tired of your complaining about the messages, beyond appoligising there's not much I can do, as far a spaming, you can easily delete the messages and as far as wasting your time, if you have enough time to get onto the forums, then I doubt reading my messages would be a good way of wasting your time.
I said that I have some serious family issues, and because of that I too am on edge a lot of the time and times when I come onto to the forums are sometimes the only time I'm truely relaxed and because of that I may get a little carried away with myself and for that I appoligise.
Shall we end this now and just try and get back to normal?

Recurring Villian, laughing at somone just for leaving is not good, Doctor 5, that last post is just spam. to be honest im worried the forums are being spoilt somehow, not that im basking you, but this conest, was ment to be fun, and now it's become a flame war, i've been part of these forums for over 2 years, but it feels like it has lost it's way, we don't seem to talk about Sci Fi anymore, it's become totally random and off the plot in places, and im worried, it, my friend Ronne has gone, Ross is never around, danny is never around. in fact none of the old crowd are arround now. Not that i want to sound like an old timer, but the Forum does not feel the same, it;s lost that welcoming feeling you get when you come on, there is nothing new, nothing special.

I apologize, Ron, Ross for some reason is being ridiculously harsh to people today. I agree with you, Ron, I think that Ronn was being more out of line than Ben was because all Ben has been trying to do for his last several posts is explain himself, apologize, and move on. Ronn has been unwilling to do that. Also, Recurring Villain's posts have been entertaining and useful to the forums from my point of view, so please don't start yelling at him. He just finds internet fights funny... frankly, so do I. Have you ever been on OG? Admittedly, it's less funny when you know the people involved, but these forums never used to be like this. It's clear that something needs to be done but the solution is not just to kick off the newer members who piss off the older members. It's to tell them (politely, Ross) what they're doing wrong and tell them it's not unreasonable for us to expect some improvement. Then we can see about harsher action if it's warranted.

Danny, i want this forum back to the old days when we were more like family when just friends, where we came on to see each other and not just to chat, i will stay and adopt the new members if we teach them and sort out the mess this place has become. This is not the forums i know and love

I didn't mean to start a fight with Ronn and I would like to get past this and have it nice and friendly again. But slagging off the new members is cruel and uncalled for, what exactly have they done that's so serious that they need to be banned, basically, they're just trying to have a bit of fun, isn't that what this forums been about, isn't that what this forums always been about.

Ben is definitely correct... it is what the forums are here for, and it doesn't need to get to the point where we have to ban new members just because they're not accustomed to the way we do things here. I want people to feel welcome here. All people, and not just friends of mine.

I think that people who want (and need) to settle this problem should get together and start a thread in the general discussion thread and chat about things that should be sorted out to make this a more friendly place to be.
