Murray Gold or Keff McCulloch?

Check out this YouTube poster's rescoring of scenes from New Series episodes, using Keff McCulloch's music...

Some people complain about the music in the new series of Doctor Who, composed by Murray Gold. Here is proof that it could have been a LOT worse - the music has been replaced by original 1980's Who music by composer Keff McCulloch. Yes - this rubbish was actually used on the show!

ROFL. The "WeLoveKeff" user on YouTube is actually maintained by myself, Pete (Marinedalek), and Tom (MI7). We also own the domain http://www.welovekeff.com, which has been officially sanctioned by Dominic Glynn, who also enjoys a good round of Keffster bashing.

Aww Poor Mr McCulloch.
No love from anyone. Whilst its the worse of all the themes, I dont hate it and actually quite like its middle eight. That said thank god i never heard any of his background music.

At least Keff has not earned the ire of a few members of the forum unlike Murray, he does try his best to work themes though, full credit to him for trying. I'm sure loads of people would sell their soul to compose for Doctor Who.

How do you think Murray got the job?

It's not exactly normal for someone to get into a composing job with a portfolio consisting solely of 'bash, boom wallop' written on the back of a napkin.

no, it's because Murray worked with RTD in that disgusting bottombash fest "Queer as Folk" in the late 90s.

Definitely.

Oh, but I bet you still didn't know about "Queer as Folk." Really, it's best you don't. I watched it, found it to be exceptionally obscene, it messed me up!

Danny and his elephant like memory might remember my gripes about it. I remember he found my aversion to the show very amusing.
